EducationResearch

On October 25, one of our Research Professors, Dr. Jean-Pierre Sauvage, who was awarded Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016, gave a special lecture at Large Lecture Room, Natural Science and Technology Lecture Hall, and approximately 150 undergraduate and graduate students majoring in chemistry attended the lecture.

In the lecture conducted in English, Dr. Sauvage shared the story of what happened on the day he was announced to win the prize, and explained about molecular machines and catenane, which contributed to his winning the prize. The students listened attentively as the Nobel laureate talked about his research, and some students actively asked questions.
