2018 Japan-Germany Presidents’ Joint Symposium

From April 26 to 27, 2018, the 2018 Japan-Germany Presidents’ Joint Symposium took place at Hitotsubashi Hall in Tokyo, and President Koetsu Yamazaki, Vice President and Trustee Naoki Himiya, and 1 other delegate participated. There was active discussion on the theme, “Education, Research and Innovation – The Universities’ Way Forward in Collaboration with Society, Business and Industry while Enhancing Academic Core Values.”

In the session on 26th, President Yamazaki represented the Japanese universities and made a presentation on the theme, “Collaboration between Universities and Society, Business & Industry in Research and Innovation.”

The next symposium will take place in Germany in 2020, and there is anticipation for further exchanges between Germany and Japan.
