-Brief Introduction of Yourself

I am Ho Sy Tam from Thuyloi University. I got a Ph.D. from Kanazawa University, Japan in 2013. Now I am an associate professor of Hydraulic Structure Division, Faculty of Civil Engineering. My research topics are impact issues induced by rock fall, landslides, and debris flows; dam safety and dam engineering; sediment transportation on river, river month and coast.

 

-How did you get to know Kanazawa University?  What is your impression of the university ?

• I got Ph.D. degree in Kanazawa University;
• My most impressions of KU are enthusiastic and qualified professors and good research facilities;
• People in Kanazawa are warm and sincerely;
• Vietnamese students in Kanazawa have a wonderful network to support each other efficiently.

 

-List the recent activities as a Collaborative Professor

• Sharing information about cooperation policies between two universities;
• Introduce Ph.D. student candidate to Kanazawa University;
• Introduce exchange students for both universities (but there is no application yet);
• Organize science conference/workshop for professors/researchers between two universities.
