Special Lecture “RESAS and Big Data” Takes Place

On May 11, a special lecture “RESAS and Big Data” took place, and approximately 80 participants attended the lecture.

Mr. Soda, who is in charge of RESAS (Regional Economy and Society Analyzing System) at the Cabinet Secretariat, explained about the various functions of RESAS, and introduced some cases of regional revitalization using RESAS.

Then, Associate Professor Yoshsiaki Matsuura from the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences introduced a course using RESAS titled “Future in Statistics,” which will be held as one of the GS General Education Courses.

Afterward, there were active questions from the participants.
