Briefing Sessions for Project to Develop ‘Glocal’ Human Resources Takes Place in Nanao City

On March 3, briefing sessions for the project to develop ‘Glocal’ human resources place in Nanao city, and approximately 70 audiences from higher education institutions and local industry in Ishikawa participated in the event. This project was selected as a “Program for Promoting Inter-University Collaborative Education” by MEXT in 2012.

First, Prof. Toru Furuhata from Kanazawa University explained the overall progress of the project. Then, faculty members from Kanazawa University and other universities involving in the project gave presentations on the programs they are in charge of. Also, students chosen as scholarship recipients for the Regional Development Course (Ishikawa Prefecture) of TOBITATE! Young Ambassador Program stated what they’d like to do in their study abroad. In the panel discussion, we received opinions from multiple points of view, which will contribute to further promotion of the project.
