From January 7 to January 9, Dr. John Barker from the Student Affairs Department at our partner institution Tufts University in the U.S. and 4 other delegates visited Kanazawa University. They observed several classes and discussed about program development for internationalizing general education.
Also, on January 8, they paid a courtesy visit to President Yamazaki. There was a discussion about promoting future collaborations between the two universities. The meeting was a meaningful opportunity for both parties. Kanazawa University’s program has been selected for MEXT’s “Top Global University Project” for Year 2014. Kanazawa University is planning to establish Tufts ELP Kanazawa University Satellite Center with support from Tufts University and offer English educational curriculum according to the needs of students or faculty members.
