Accepting Staff from Tufts University

During the periods of May 24 to 27 and June 3 to 8, Kanazawa University accepted 3 administrative staff from Tufts University and they took part in various activities to deepen the relationship between the two universities and to improve the work method at both institutions. From May 24 to 27, Mr. Patrick Taylor Himes, International Student and Scholar Adviser, and from June 3 to 8, Ms. Mary Patricia McMahon, Dean of Student Affairs, and Ms. Nandi Bynoe, C.A.R.E. Sexual Misconduct Resource Specialist, participated in meetings with faculty, staff and students of KU and observed the university facilities. Members of the two universities deepened mutual understanding through these interactions.

In 2015, KU sent 2 staff to Tufts University. Both universities expect to continue this staff exchange program. KU has established the Super Global ELP Center where a regular faculty of Tufts University is stationed, and aims to improve the English fluency level of faculty, staff and students. The two universities will deepen exchanges and further promote the internationalization at KU.
