Briefing Session on Teaching Assistant and Active Learning Adviser Takes Place

Briefing sessions on Teaching Assistant (TA) and Active Learning Adviser (ALA) for faculty and staff took place on July 23 at the College of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Science, on 28 at the College of Science and Engineering, and on 29 at the College of Human and Social Sciences, co-hosted by the Acceleration Program for University Education Rebuilding (AP) and the Top Global University Project.

Under the AP, ALA system for College of Science and Engineering and the College of Human and Social Sciences began in the 1st semester, 2015 on trial and will officially begin from the 2nd semester. Under the Top Global University Project, a new TA system to train human resources equipped with the abilities indicated in KUGS(Kanazawa University “Global” Standard) and ALA system for the College of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Science will be introduced.

Prof. Kenji NAKASHIMA, Advisor to the President and the chairperson of the AP committee, and Associate Prof. Kimikazu SUGIMORI from the Research Center for Higher Education explained those systems, and the participants deepened their understandings.
