Vice President Yamamoto and other delegates visit Belgium

From May 18 to 23, Vice President Hiroshi Yamamoto (in charge of International Affairs, Hospital and Alumni Association) and other delegates visited Belgium. In this visit, they concluded the addendum to expand the exchange of students with Ghent University, our university-level partner institution and established the Kanazawa University Ghent Office.

Also, the delegates paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Daniël Termont, Mayor of Ghent (※Kanazawa and Ghent are sister cities) and delivered the letter from President Yamazaki and Mr. Yukiyoshi Yamano, Mayor of Kanazawa and reported that both universities will deepen their relationship further. Afterward, the delegates attended the conference, where companies and laboratories in the life science located in Flanders region were gathered, and discussed the possibilities of internship programs.
